THE CAFFEINATED CAT HOW TO

I only know how to do that as a little college kid. I don't know how to do that as a big adult. I know how to have a social life and make good grades and pay my bills. I've gotten pretty damn good at this whole college life deal. In describing my dilemma to my friend, I held up my beer and gestured to the patio we were sitting in on Fry Street. Yet despite me chomping at the bit to become this big adult version of myself, I find that on the other hand I have finally achieved this balance of work, school, play. Everything in my future will be big, at least in my daydreams. On the one hand, I am eager to graduate and finally become that adult I have been training to be: the one with a big girl job, living in a big city, driving my own car and conducting business on my big smart phone. Speaking to a friend over a few beers last night, I voiced my internal tug-of-war I am currently experiencing. And of course the moment I achieve this delicate balance, I turn in my graduation packet and get reminded that the balance won't last long. October is here and I have finally found a rhythm between work, school, and SWOOP.
